Note: Take note that manatees are known to inhabit saltwater canals and the Intracoastal Waterway in Palm Coast. Freshwater is a known attractant to manatees, and the project proposes to extend the freshwater spicot a few feet to a piling on the dock structure. Due to the close proximity to an existing freshwater resource, the potential of discharge is similar in nature. In most cases, a new freshwater discharge proposed for the terminus of a dock is not permissible. It is encouraged to have a control mechanism on the accessory hose to minimize the chance of continuous discharge into the neighboring canal.
