City Council Workshop Meeting on September 9 at 6pm

The Palm Coast City Council meets regularly to discuss and vote on official City business. These meetings are open to the public, and Palm Coast residents are strongly encouraged to attend. An increase in public engagement helps to build a stronger sense of community, increase valuable discussions, and decrease division.

The agenda for the City Council Workshop Meeting on Tuesday, September 9, at 6 p.m. will be as follows:

Presentations

The following presentations will be made:

1. The Human Resources department will present the candidates for City Manager and narrow the list from 25 to the top 5-8 candidates, as well as select an exercise to further narrow down the search. 
2. The Parks and Recreation Department will present an overview of the Southern Recreation Center's current operations, programming, and community use. The United States Tennis Association will also provide a presentation outlining a proposed role in the facility’s management.
3. The Parks and Recreation Department will present an overview of the agreement with the Flagler County Cultural Council to administer the Cultural Art Grant Program.
4. The City Administration will hear a presentation by City Attorney Marcus Duffy on amending Chapter 42, creating section 42-7 of the code of ordinances providing for the use and operation of bicycles and electric-powered vehicles.

Public Comments will be opened at the beginning and end of the workshop in accordance with Section 286.0114, Florida Statutes, and pursuant to the City Council’s Meeting Policies and Procedures. Each speaker will approach the podium, provide his/her name, and may speak for up to 3 minutes.

Please note that no proclamations are scheduled for this specific meeting. Additionally, public comments on non-agenda items will be limited to 30 minutes at the beginning and end of each meeting. This schedule is subject to change due to holidays or other unforeseen circumstances.
