Food Truck Tuesday to benefit Flagler Humane Society

Tuesday June, 11 2024

The City of Palm Coast’s Food Truck Tuesday is set to return on June 18, with proceeds with this month’s event benefitting Flagler Humane Society.

Founded in 1980, the organization was the first shelter of its kind in Flagler County. They erected their first building in 1982 before constructing their new, and current, home in 2004.

Through their efforts, the Flagler Humane Society was able to save the lives of over 2,100 animals in 2023 alone, and over 700 pets have been adopted since the beginning of 2024. Beyond the rescue, rehabilitation, animal food bank and adoption services the organization offers out of their main facility, they also run a thrift store to help support their services, while also providing community outreach efforts like their annual Camp Paw Print Summer Camp sessions that start on June 24.

“For over 40 years, we’ve been proud to serve this community as a full-service shelter that focuses on providing the best outcomes for all of our animals,” said Flagler Humane Society Executive Director Amy Carotenuto. “Food Truck Tuesday is a great opportunity for us to help spread awareness of the work we do and we’re thankful for the opportunity to bring our message out to the community at this wonderful event.”

The organization will have pet adoption opportunities at Food Truck Tuesday for those looking to bring home a new furry friend. View a video with Amy Carotenuto here: https://youtu.be/p938tS7EAZ4
