The 42nd annual Palm Coast Holiday Boat Parade took place on Saturday, December 13, welcoming thousands of residents and visitors to the Intracoastal Waterway for a festive evening along the waterfront.

An estimated 1,000 spectators gathered at Waterfront Park, with additional attendees viewing the parade from beneath the bridge and from surrounding locations including Palm Coast Marina and Grand Haven. Decorated boats illuminated the waterway as they traveled the parade route, marking the City’s first time organizing the Holiday Boat Parade to continue a beloved seasonal tradition.

For those unable to attend in person, the event was also livestreamed, allowing residents to enjoy the parade from home. The livestream recorded more than 19,000 views, extending the reach of the event well beyond the waterfront.

Food vendors on site included Mango Mike’s Latin Flavors, TABS, So Good Mochi Ice Cream, and DJ’s Concessions, contributing to a family-friendly atmosphere throughout the evening.

Participating boaters were recognized for their creativity and holiday spirit. Ron Boisvert earned Best Theme for a patriotic display aboard Lazy Daze. Arthur Chaney received Brightest and Most Colorful for Palm Tiki Adventures. Dale Baker was awarded Most Creative for SMOKIN D, and Gary Kunnas received Most Spirited Crew for LADY K, which also served as the Grand Marshal vessel carrying Mayor Mike Norris, newly appointed City Manager Mike McGlothlin, and Grand Marshal Mark Strobridge, who serves as Chief of Staff for the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office and stepped in to serve as Interim Assistant City Manager for the City of Palm Coast this past summer.

The City of Palm Coast thanks the participating boaters, vendors, volunteers, and public safety personnel whose coordination and support helped ensure the success of the event. Appreciation is also extended to the residents and viewers who attended in person or tuned in online to celebrate the holiday season together. Plans are already underway for next year’s holiday season.
