The Information Technology (IT) department provides customer service and support for all City departments and the applications that serve our citizens.

The IT Department is divided into the following categories:
Applications
Develop and maintain network enabled information applications to maximize external communications and streamline core internal business processes such as financial management and permitting.
Enterprise Services
Manages the operation of the City’s Fiber network as well the City’s wireless master plan. Manages the City’s wireless master plan as well as the operation of the City’s Fiber network, providing connectivity for the City, Flagler Schools, and other key partners.
Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
Geographical Information Systems (GIS) – Provide analysis and data through web applications, web services and data reporting such as mapping. The analysis and information is provided for the public and for all departments in the City. The GIS Division accomplishes its mission by maintaining an enterprise SQL database, a server to publish services and an ArcGIS Online Cloud Site for dozens of web applications and services.
Operations
Manages the day to day operations of voice and data networks to ensure a high level of data integrity and systems availability. The IT Service desk closes approximately 950 tickets per month. They also manage the city’s access control, video surveillance, PC installations, and phone / ticketing system.
Research & Development
The Research & Development (R&D) division strives to integrate all City software and to develop custom solutions for operational efficiency. At the core, the R&D division aims to innovate the City's use of technology and be a leader for Smart City Initiatives.
