"Founders Day" is a tribute to the dedicated individuals who founded our community and shaped it into the city we know and love today. It's a day to reflect on their enduring contributions and appreciate the unique history, culture, and traditions of Palm Coast.
The Palm Coast Historical Society, a cherished institution in our community, plays a pivotal role in preserving and showcasing the history of Palm Coast. Established in 2000, the society has been committed to collecting, preserving, and sharing the stories of our city's past. The Palm Coast Historical Society Museum, located in James F. Holland Memorial Park, offers a captivating journey through time, highlighting the evolution of Palm Coast from its earliest days to the vibrant community it is today. Kathy Reichard-Ellavsky, President of the Palm Coast Historical Society, expressed her appreciation, saying, “We extend our heartfelt thanks to the City and our residents for their continuous support. Your enthusiasm for our history keeps us going year after year. We invite everyone, whether you're a seasoned patron or new to our museum, to visit us, consider becoming a member, or volunteer your time. Together, we can preserve and share the fascinating history of Palm Coast.”
On Founders Day, we encourage all residents to step back in time by visiting the Palm Coast Historical Society Museum, where they can immerse themselves in the captivating history of our city. As an added treat, mark your calendars for the "Founders Day Food Truck Festival" on October 28th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., right outside the museum at Holland Park.
