To whom it may concern: As I’m sure you are aware, the 2004 Florida Building Code, Residential came into effect on October 1, 2005. Included within that code are the design requirements, for residential swimming pools. If you wish to continue to participate in the our Swimming Pool Master File program, please submit two (2) sets of original signed and sealed engineer’s pool drawings, which indicates the 2004 Florida Building Code, Residential, Chapter 41, as the applicable design criteria. Also, please provide a note on the drawings or a signed and sealed letter, from the design professional of record, which authorizes the use of the drawings, for master filing purposes. Drawings, which are on Master File, at this time, will be valid through December 31, 2005. However, permits applications packages submitted on or after January 1, 2006, which contain drawings based upon the 2001 Florida Building Code, will be held until updated drawings have been submitted, reviewed and approved. If you do not wish to participate, in the Swimming Pool Master File program, please submit two (2) sets of original signed and sealed engineer’s pool drawings base on the 2004 Florida Building Code, Residential, Chapter 41, with each permit application.
