The truss connector schedule identifies cast-in-place connectors for the attachment of the 2nd floor framing members to the existing masonry wall. The Simpson catalog allows drilling and epoxy attachment however it states that 12" embedment is required, please clarify that there is 12" of embedment available and this is the intent for installation. However, HETA20 connectors are identified and it is not clear how this connector is to be installed in the existing bond beam. 2. Please clarify that the existing exterior wall and footing is structurally adequate to support the new addition (floor framing, 2nd floor wall, roof trusses, etc.)
