Joe, Regarding Permit # 2007030255 at 22 Reybury Lane, the final inspection for a fence was held up by you with a note stating that the property line is not showing a 3' clearance as per the plot plan approved by the City. While the fence was not placed on the lot as depicted on the plot plan, it is not in violation of the City’s regulations with the exception that landscaping must be provided. Dennis Hartnett, from the Stormwater Division, went out today and checked the location of the fence to ensure that it will not cause a problem from the perspective of the Stormwater Division. He concluded that the location of the fence is acceptable. I spoke with Samuel Merrill, property owner, this afternoon and informed him that he must provide landscaping adjacent to the fence in which the City recommends planting Confederate Jasmine every 3' adjacent to the fence. Once he has that in place, he is to contact the Building Department for an inspection. He was elated with the news that he would not need to apply for a variance.
