| Note: Held By: SKNOPF CITY OF PALM COAST BUILDING DIVISION Comments on Permit Application #2008120525 (Palm Coast City Center Law @ 143 City Place) 12/31/2008 The following items must be resolved in order to complete the Building Permit plan review. Electrical Comments: 1. E-2 Load Calculation: a. Per NEC 220.14(A), an outlet for a specific appliance or load shall be calculated based on amp rating of that appliance or load served. Load calculation for Panel A cannot use the demand factor of NEC 220.44 for appliances, copiers, printers, server, etc. These loads must be calculated at full nameplate load. Revise Demand Load Calculation. b. Per NEC 422.13 Storage-type Water Heaters less than 120 gallons shall be considered a continuous load. Revise Demand Load Calculation. 2. E-3: a. Panel A schedule shows all lighting circuits are A-43 thru A-57 odd circuits. Power Plan sheet E-3 shows lighting circuits as A-1 thru A-15 odd circuits, and these circuits are already being used for various branch power items on Sheet E-4. Revise plan sheet E-3 circuits for lighting. b. Plans show a new wall being added within the empty room located at the east end of the North Stairwell, dividing this room into 2 rooms. According to the Shell Building permit #2007100054, this space is "House" space, and therefore the wall must be added as a Revision to the Shell Building permit. Submit revision for this wall. Please note that if either of the 2 new rooms, such as the Server Room, is to be part of the Law Office Tenant space, the square footage and calculations for the House and Tenant space will also need to be adjusted on the Shell building permit #20071200054. c. Plans show a new strip light being added and an existing strip light being relocated in the 2 new rooms located on the east end of the North Stairwell. Both lights are shown to be attached to the existing "House" circuit. "House" space work cannot be performed on this permit application, and a Revision needs to be submitted for any changes made within the "House" designated spaces. d. Transformers for Lobby lighting cannot be located within the "House" common corridor, and must be located within the Tenant space area. 3. E-4: a. Shell Building permit #2007100054 Rev 2 drawings dated 11-5-2007 shows the 3rd Floor Meter Center and 3rd Floor Phone board located in the 2nd Floor Electrical Room adjacent to the North Stairwell. Sheet E-4 and Riser on E-2 both show the 3rd Floor Meter Center on the 3rd floor. Submit a Revision to the Shell Building permit #2007100054 to move this Meter Center. b. If Tenant Panel "A" and "future Tenant panels" are to be installed in the "House" designated space of the new Electrical/Meter room on the 3rd floor, Tenants must have full access to this room and Panel A, such as a key, per NEC 240.24(B); or Panel A can be relocated within the Tenant 'A' spaces. c. Receptacles on circuit A-44, 46, 48 in new Server room cannot be on a Tenant circuit, unless this space is being given to the Tenant for his use, in which case all circuits including lighting must be on Tenant circuits and space must be re-designated as belonging to this Tenant as a Revision to permit #20071200054. See Item 2b above. d. Two receptacles are shown as "existing" located in the new Electrical/Meter room at the east end of the North Stairwell. Existing plans on file for Shell Building permit #2007100054 show no receptacles in this room. Add these receptacles and their circuits under a Revision to the Shell Building permit, and update Shell Building permit load calculations accordingly. e. There are (3) receptacles shown in Corridor 128 which is a common House access corridor. These receptacles, if required, must be added on a "House" circuit as a Revision to the Shell Building permit #2007100054, and cannot be on a Tenant circuit due to their location. …………………………………………… Susan J.
