Note: Released By: PBUCKLEY The code section cited by the plans examiner (R403.1.4.) addresses the minimum depth of "exterior" footings and requires the bottom of exterior footings to be a minimum of 12 inches below the undisturbed ground surface. The exterior footings for this proposed building are designed for a total depth from top of slab to bottom of footing of 20 inches - 8 inches above the ground and 12 inches below the ground. Exterior footings comply with this code section. The plans examiner referenced a Section B-B on the plans which is a section view of an interior footing. The interior footing only extends below the ground 8 inches. I believe the plans examiner was referring to this footing, but provided a citation for a code section that only relates to exterior footings. As such, this reivew hold is removed and now marked complete.
