Provide complete copy of Geotechnical Investigation Report signed and sealed by a Florida licensed professional engineer. It appears a geotechnical investigation report was not included with the civil plans under the Commercial Site Development Permit. 2. Design professional in responsible charge to fill in steel building design engineer’s "approval’ certification box and sign and date on each plan sheet. As an alternative, these plan sheets can be provided at a later date as a deferred submittal in accordance with FBC-Building Section 107.3.4.1. If requesting these plan sheets to be a deferred submittal, approval blocks will still need to be signed and dated before they are submitted to the Building Department for review and approval and Architectural cover sheet will have to be noted in some manner indicating steel building plans will be provided at a later date as a deferred submittal per Section 107.3.4.1. Please note however, if steel building plans will be submitted later as a deferred submittal, an inspection hold will be placed preventing a framing inspection until deferred submittals have been submitted, reviewed and approved. Please allow ample time for review. 3. Remove all references to "fire barrier" on steel building plans. Walls are actually "fire walls" per FBC-Building Section 706.1 and shall be referred to as fire walls. 4. Steel building design engineer shall certify structural stability of fire walls per Section 706.2 indicating either by written notes on one or more plan sheets indicating firewalls are designed and constructed to allow collapse of the structure on either side without collapse of the fire wall. As an alternative engineer can provide design in accordance with NFPA 221. 5. Steel building plans shall reference the 2020 Florida Building Code Building (2017 edition is referenced). Engineer to remove references to the IBC. 6. Reorganize UL fire wall details on Sheet A801 so that the file is organized to read from top to bottom and left to right from file beginning to file end. As currently printed, file details appear out of order. Please also ensure complete file is provided. Please be advised, the UL (U419) design provided is for a proprietary fire wall; therefore no material substitutions are allowed beyond those called out in the file. IT IS STRONGLY recommended a note or notes be added advising the contractor of the limitations to those proprietary materials listed as deviations from approved materials will not be allowed under any circumstances. 7. Add fire wall door design standard to door schedule or by conspicuous note for doors in firewalls per Section 716.5.6. 8. Change occupancy of meeting room from A-2 to B (or simply leave unlabeled). This room is not an A-2 occupancy per Section 301.1.2 No’s 1 and 2. 9. Provide thermal barrier to separate foam plastic insulation in attic from building interior per Section 2603.4. 10. Provide dimensions (both width and length in the direction of egress) of landings at all exterior doors per Section 1010.1.6. All comments below per the 2020 Florida Building Code-Accessibility 1. Provide maneuvering dimensions of exterior landings at all exterior doors based on side approach to hinge side of pull side of doors per Section 404.2.4 and Table 404.2.4.1. It appears the required dimension of 24 inches extending beyond the latch side has not been provided. It is unclear if the landing provides 48 inches of clearance perpendicular to doorways. 2. Provide maneuvering dimensions at all interior doorways based on forward approach per Section 404.2.4 and Table3 404.2.4.1. It is unclear if maneuvering space of 18 inches is provided beyond the latch side on the pull side of interior doors including bathroom door.
