Provide completed city of Palm Coast roofing worksheet. 2. Provide completed product approval worksheet. Include structural components and soffit material and mullions. 3. What is the use of the room? Identy room on plans. Not just room addition. 4. Identify window adjacent to new exterior door in room addition as tempered glass. R308.4.2. 5. All rafters shall be restained against twisting at ends by fastening to a rim board or use of full-height blocking between rafter ends. Provide detail or notes for restraint method for 2"X6" rafter ends at tie-in to existing roof, at 2"X6" lapped locations with 2"X10'" rafters at load bearing cripple wall and at ends of 2"X10" rafters above exterior wall. Hold down's and connectors do not substitute for end restraints to prevent twisting. R802.2, R301.2.1.1, ANSI AWC NDS, WFCM Section 3.5.1.3. Be sure to provide means of ventilating each rafter bay - see comment below. 6. Provide means of ventilating attic space above room addition. Each rafter bay shall be vented until they are connected to a common / shared ventilated space. Insulation and blocking (e.g. rafter restraints) shall maintain minimum1 inch air space. Provide ventilation calculation. Show attic venting methods. Provide notes how ventilation is to be achieved through rafter bays. R806.1, R806.2, R806.3, R806.4 As an alternative, attic may not be vented if compliant with R806.5. Show information if you intend to use R806.5. 7. Identify roof sheathing type. Plans indicate only 1/2 inch but do not indicate OSB, CDX plywood, etc. R803.2.1. 8. Existing window adjacent to existing sliding glass door must be tempered glass due to new door leading from room addition to covered porch. Identify this window as required to be tempred glass. R308.4.2.
