| Note: 5/6/2024 - PREVIOUS INSPECTION NOTES contractor or contractors manager asked for inspection after 1pm, request was granted and inspection was added the the list to be inspectiod in the pm. contractor or contractors manager was advised by Cheif Inspector RM he could not procede past 50 percent with the shingles, on my arrival the roof was more than 90 percent shingled. What little bit of underlayment that was still visable was not nailed per current codes. maximum OC spacing on fasteners at overlaps exceeded, maximum OC spacing of fasteners in the field exceeded. Underlayment shall be attached to a nailable deck with corrosion-resistant fasteners with a maximum fastener spacing, measured horizontally and vertically, of 12 inches (305 mm) o.c. between side laps, and one row at the end and side laps fastened 6 inches. per FBC-R, 905.1.1.1 (3) Someone will need to meet with the inspector onsite at the next inspection with a crew and materials available to open the roof inseveral areas as directed by the inspector for visual inspection of the underlayment to the extent of the inspectors judgement for approval of the underlayment. also: the shingles are required per manufacturer instructions to be installed with 6 inch offset, in several areas the shingles did not meet this requirement. | |||
