The aggregate sign area of freestanding signs shall not be more than double of the proposed sign area, exclusive of the sign area, only to include architectural features. You have not provided the dimensions (width and height) of the sign area; however, you say the sign area is 13.5 SF. To calculate what is permitted: Multiply the sign area - 13.5. by 2 = 27. The aggregate sign dimensions on your drawing are: 11’4” X 6’2” (11.33 X 6.17) = 69.91 Subtract the sign area from the aggregate sign 69.91 – 13.5 = 56.41. This is larger than 27. (Aggregate sign is too big) I called and spoke to Robert with Signature because I was hoping for clarification on numbers provided on your drawing including 40 SF, 88 SF 110 SF. I do not know what these numbers are referring to. Return phone call not received. Hold Comments: 1. Sign aggregate area too large. 2. You must CLEARLY identify which sign this permit is for on the site plan. 3. When you resubmit, please put the dimensions on the sign demonstrating the height and width of the sign area.
