Note: 1. THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT MULCH DEFICEINCY THROUGHOUT THE PROJECT THAT NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED PRIOR TO FINAL APPROVAL. Approved Plan L.04/Landscape Details calls for 3" THICK MULCH LAYER on all tree and shrub plantng details. Examination of mulch beds shows average of 1" of mulch. Contractor shall apply an additional 2" of mulch througout beds (AN ADDITIONAL 200% of existing mulch volume and thickness). The next inspection will include a mulch depth check in all areas. 2. THERE IS ALSO A PROBLEM OF MULCH ADJACENT TO PAVED SURFACES THAT MUST BE CORRECTED PRIOR TO FINAL APPROVAL. Where mulch beds are adjacent to pavers or concrete walks, a 6 inch wide area from edge of pavement must include the removal of soil and mulch to a depth the 3". After those areas have been raked back, the full 3 inch mulch layer shall be applied so that the top of the 3" thick Layer of mulch is flush with pavement. 3. Comments 1 and 2 above pertain to all areas within the amenity center, but especially to the FRONT MAIN ENTRY WAY, THE NORTH BERM AND THE BEDS ADJACENT TO POOL AND HOT TUB. 4. Several tall palm trees are leaning and are "out of plumb". All palm trees shall be re-staked to make all such trees perpendicular the the earth's surface 5. Many/all Dwarf Date Palms have had fronds die back due to recent cold snap. It is anticipated , with the onset of warmer weather, that these palms wiill recover and regrow fronds. It is the responsibility of the landscape contractor to monitor all such palms through the revovery period and replance those that do not recover.
