Provide icon and note indicating presence of accessible parking sign provided at head of accessible parking space. Florida Building Code-Accessibility. Section 705 2. Identify presence of required access aisle adjacent to accessible parking space. Florida Building Code-Accessibility Section 502. Show dimensions. 3. Provide accessible parking sign detail to include universal symbol of accessibility, the wording "Parking by Disabled Permit Only" and penalty for illegal use of accessible spaces ($250). Include mounting height, sign foundation, post and bollard details. FS 553-5041 (3), (6) and Sections 208, 502.2, 502.6. 3. Provide the following accessibility details: Accessible parking space dimension and striping plan including accessible aisle per FDOT Standard Plans Index 711-001 (FY 2024-25), 4. Provide location of accessible port-o-let and hand sanitizing station in close proximity to accessible parking space. Provide approach and maneuverability clearances in front of port-o-let and hand sanitizing station. Designate both the port-o-let and hand sanitizing station to be accessible to persons with disabilities. Accessible port-o-let and accessible hand sanitizing station are required unless there is a fully accessible bathroom within the dwelling connected by an accessible route (both interior and exterior) from the accessible parking space, to and through the front door and to and through for full access to the bathroom. 5. Site plan contains conflicting details of accessible exterior route. Accessible route shown but red lined additions have been made on Site Plan and the intent is unclear. Note: the required accessible route should be to the sales office and not to the main entrance door to the dwelling. Only provide an accessible route to the main entry door if the door is accessible to persons with disabilities and is connected by a code compliant accessible route. Whether the accessible route is intended to the sales office or the main entry door to the dwelling, the route must be served by an accessible entry door, accessible landing on exterior side of entry door, accessible door threshold and accessible door (lower 10 inches on push side of door smooth with no recess or protrusion exceeding 1/16 inch - among other things) and accessible door hardware. If there is an intended entry and exit door then designate which is which. Show running slopes of accessible route not to exceed 5% and maximum cross slopes not to exceed 2%. If these slopes will be exceeded, then design the accessible route as an accessible ramp and provide ALL ramp details including handrails, handrail extensions, edge protection (if required) and similar for a complete accessible ramp design. Show maximum slopes at accessible door landings not to exceed 2% in any direction. Show required maneuverability clearances at accessible landings extending the required dimension beyond the latch side of doors.
