The Palm Coast Fire Department’s annual 9/11 Candlelight Vigil will return to Heroes Memorial Park on September 11, 2025, at 6:30pm, in commemoration of the 24th Anniversary of the attacks. The solemn memorial will honor and remember those that were lost on 9/11 and the days since.

“Nearly a quarter century later, 9/11 is a day that we will always remember, not only as proud firefighters, but as proud Americans,” said Palm Coast Fire Chief Kyle Berryhill. “We’re proud to be able to have this event each year to reflect and honor all of those that we lost on that day, as well as the thousands that have died since due to illnesses deriving from the recovery efforts.”

The public is encouraged to attend the event, and candles will be provided to all attendees. Heroes Memorial Park is located at 2860 Palm Coast Parkway NW. Due to limited parking at Heroes Memorial Park, additional parking will be available on Corporate Drive – directly across the street from the park, adjacent to Palm Coast Fire Station 21. In case of inclement weather, the event will take place inside Fire Station 21.
