From dominant performances to unpredictable upsets and champions crowned, the 2026 Palm Coast Open once again delivered world-class tennis and unforgettable moments at the Southern Recreation Center.

Throughout the competition, the City welcomed rising international talent to the Southern Recreation Center for both the Men’s M15 and Women’s W15 tournaments, sanctioned by the USTA Pro Circuit and ITF World Tennis Tour. Players from across the United States and around the globe competed for ranking points, prize money, and career momentum, delivering high-level matches and unforgettable moments for fans.

The tournament began with the Men’s Wild Card Tournament (January 30 – February 1), followed by the M15 Main Draw (February 2 – February 8), setting the stage for a week of elite competition. Italy’s Tommaso Compagnucci emerged as the Men’s Singles Champion after a composed, commanding run, while Argentina’s Ignacio Monzon and Fermin Tenti captured the Men’s Doubles title with consistent, high-level play.

A special local highlight came during the Men’s Wild Card Tournament, where Palm Coast resident and Southern Recreation Center tennis instructor Oleksandr Bielinskyi battled his way to win the Wild Card, earning his place in the main draw. Competing on his home courts in front of the local community marked a proud and memorable moment for Palm Coast tennis.

The Women’s tournament followed with equal intensity, unpredictable upsets, and compelling storylines with the Women’s Wild Card Tournament (February 13 – February 15), leading into the W15 Main Draw (February 16 – February 22).

Great Britain’s Sofia Johnson delivered a dominant championship performance to claim her first professional singles title at the 2026 W15 Palm Coast Open. Her path to the trophy reflected resilience and excellent composure under pressure.

Top seed Thaisa Grana Pedretti (BRA) showcased her strength and consistency by reaching the Singles Final and capturing the Doubles Championship alongside Carolina Bohrer Martins (BRA). For Bohrer Martins, the victory marked her first professional title, a milestone moment achieved on Palm Coast courts.

The women’s event also featured strong local representation, including 15-year-old Bunnell native Clarice Ouvarova, who competed in the W15 Main Qualifying draw. Other emerging talents included 17-year-old wildcard Carlota Moreno (USA), who reached the semifinals in her professional debut.

“This event continues to grow in stature each year,” said James Hirst, Director of Parks and Recreation. “From international champions to local players earning their opportunity to compete at this level, the Palm Coast Open represents the very best of what sports can bring to our community.”

Vice Mayor Theresa Carli Pontieri, who presented the W15 Singles championship trophy, added, “It was an honor to recognize such exceptional athletes competing here in Palm Coast. This tournament not only elevates our city on a global stage but also inspires the next generation of local players.”

The 2026 Palm Coast Open was a success thanks to the dedication of players, coaches, tournament officials, staff, volunteers, sponsors, and partners who worked tirelessly throughout the competition. AdventHealth provided a critical medical partnership to ensure player health and safety throughout the event. Best Western Palm Coast welcomed players and visitors, offering comfortable accommodations during their stay. The tournament was supported in part by a grant from the Flagler County Tourist Development Council (TDC), whose continued investment in sports tourism helps bring premier events and economic impact to the region.

The City also extends sincere appreciation to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office for providing its Citizen Observer Patrol (C.O.P.), whose presence throughout the tournament helped monitor traffic and parking and ensured a safe, smooth, and welcoming experience for all.

With dominant performances, breakthrough milestones, hometown pride, and champions crowned, the 2026 Palm Coast Open once again solidified Palm Coast’s reputation as a growing destination for professional tennis. The City looks forward to welcoming the world back to its courts next year for the 2027 Palm Coast Open.
