The Palm Coast City Council meets regularly to discuss and vote on official City business. These meetings are open to the public, and Palm Coast residents are strongly encouraged to attend. An increase in public engagement helps to build a stronger sense of community, increase valuable discussions, and decrease division.

The agenda for the City Council Workshop Meeting on Tuesday, June 9, at 9 a.m. will be as follows:

Presentations

The following presentations will be presented:

  1. Flagler County Commissioner Kim Carney will present File of Life Initiative, a free program to help residents ensure first responders have quick access to critical medical information during emergencies.
  2. The Financial Services Department will present an overview of the process for adopting the Property Tax (TRIM) rate to prepare for the upcoming Fiscal Year 2027 budget.
  3. The Community Development Department will present proposed updates to Chapter 2 of the Land Development Code to align with the City’s 2050 Comprehensive Plan. The changes include updates required by state law, adjustments to development review timelines, and efforts to simplify public notice requirements.
  4. The Community Development Department will present proposed updates to Chapter 3 of the Land Development Code to align with the City’s 2050 Comprehensive Plan. The amendments include policy updates, code clarifications, updated references, and changes based on best practices and recurring development review issues.
  5. The Community Development Department will present proposed updates to Chapter 4 of the Land Development Code to align with the City’s 2050 Comprehensive Plan. The amendments include policy updates, code clarifications, updated references, and changes based on best practices and recurring development review issues.
  6. The Community Development Department will present proposed updates to Chapter 11 of the Land Development Code, which covers tree protection, landscaping, buffers, and irrigation. The amendments are intended to align the code with the City’s 2050 Comprehensive Plan while updating references and clarifying existing requirements.
  7. The Community Development Department will present proposed updates to Chapter 14, the Glossary section of the Land Development Code, to align with the City’s 2050 Comprehensive Plan. The amendments update definitions, references, and terminology throughout the code. The changes also clarify existing language and incorporate best practices to improve consistency and administration of development regulations.

Public Comments will be opened at the beginning and end of the meeting in accordance with Section 286.0114, Florida Statutes, and pursuant to the City Council’s Meeting Policies and Procedures. Each speaker will approach the podium, provide his/her name, and may speak for up to 3 minutes.

Additionally, public comments on non-agenda items will be limited to 30 minutes at the beginning and end of each meeting. This schedule is subject to change due to holidays or other unforeseen circumstances. In addition to City Council meetings and workshops, residents are encouraged to participate in a variety of public meetings—including advisory boards, committees, and special sessions—taking place over the next week. Attending in person, tuning in live on the City’s YouTube channel, or reviewing meeting materials online are all great ways to stay informed and engaged in local government.
