City of Palm Coast Announces Temporary Road Closure on Edgewater Drive

The City of Palm Coast will close Edgewater Drive at 25 Edgewater Drive beginning Monday, August 31, through Friday, September 4, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. Tentative overnight closures are also planned for Tuesday, September 1, Wednesday, September 2, and Thursday, September 3, if needed.

Crews will be on-site to repair and replace underground stormwater infrastructure in the area. The work is being completed by City subcontractor American Civil.

During the closure, traffic will be detoured around the construction area using Edgemont Lane and Edgely Lane. Additional traffic control measures will be implemented to enhance visibility and reflectivity if the closure extends overnight.

Residents should also be aware of potential partial closures and roadside hazards at 22 Edgely Lane and 8 Edgemont Lane between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday, August 31, through Friday, September 4.

This additional work is necessary to repair and replace the roadway over previously completed stormwater pipe replacements and to complete any remaining work associated with those projects. A clear path for traffic will be maintained and coordinated between the adjacent construction sites; however, residents and motorists should expect delays when traveling through the area.

Drivers are encouraged to use caution, follow posted traffic control devices, and allow additional time when traveling through the construction area.
