The City of Palm Coast is announcing the upcoming Housing Empowerment Workshop Series to provide residents with essential tools for long-term housing success. This free, public educational series is designed to help community members protect their properties, strengthen financial stability, and better navigate complex housing programs.

The City of Palm Coast, in partnership with local community organizations, is announcing the upcoming Housing Empowerment Workshop Series to provide residents with essential tools for long-term housing success. This free, public educational series is designed to help community members protect their properties, strengthen financial stability, and better navigate complex housing programs.

All workshops will be held at the Southern Recreation Center, 1290 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast, FL 32164. Each event includes an informational session from 9:00–10:00 AM, followed by one-on-one discussions with housing experts from 10:15 AM to noon.

Upcoming Workshop Schedule:

  • August 29, 2026 – Basic Home Maintenance
    Learn essential home maintenance skills and preventative measures to protect property values and avoid costly future repairs.
  • September 19, 2026 – Property Taxes & Exemptions
    Learn more about property taxes, homestead exemptions, portability, and navigating the official tax appeal process.
  • October 10, 2026 – Foreclosure Prevention
    Understand early intervention strategies, loss mitigation options, loan modifications, and resources available to help homeowners avoid foreclosure.
  • November 21, 2026 – City CDBG & Flagler County SHIP Housing Programs
    Explore application processes for First-Time Homebuyers and Housing Rehabilitation programs, featuring open Q&A with city and county representatives.
  • December 19, 2026 – Deed Theft & Heirs Property
    Identify common property scams, learn to protect property ownership rights, and preserve generational wealth through proactive estate planning.
