Kick off the new year with a green start at the 18th Annual Christmas Tree Recycling Event. This Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., bring your undecorated Christmas tree to the Palm Coast Fuel Depot at 22 Utility Drive and be part of a community effort to recycle holiday waste and give back to the environment.

As a thank-you for participating, you’ll receive a free three-gallon tree or shrub (while supplies last). Recycled trees will be turned into mulch to enhance the beauty of Palm Coast’s parks and trails.

We’re also offering free on-site document shredding. Safely dispose of sensitive items like old checkbooks, expired credit cards, and spiral notebooks. All shredded materials will be recycled into new paper products. Please remember that we cannot accept batteries, three-ring binders, hard drives, or X-rays.

Before arriving, make sure your tree is free of decorations, lights, tinsel, and ornaments. For shredding, check that your items meet the guidelines for acceptable materials; items like batteries and hard drives will not be accepted.

“This event is a great opportunity to start the year fresh, help the environment, and give back to the community,” said Carol Mini, City of Palm Coast Urban Forester. “Don’t miss your chance to grab a free tree or shrub and be part of Palm Coast’s commitment to sustainability. We look forward to seeing you there!”

So, join us this Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Palm Coast Fuel Depot at 22 Utility Drive for the 18th Annual Christmas Tree Recycling Event. We look forward to seeing you there!
