The City of Palm Coast to Implement Non-Resident Program Fee Increase October 28, 2026.

Tuesday, October 27, 2026

The City of Palm Coast will implement a new fee structure for non-residents participating in paid Parks and Recreation programs beginning Wednesday, October 28, 2026. The change establishes a consistent non-resident fee adjustment across the department’s paid programs and follows a review of program costs and pricing at comparable municipalities and recreation facilities.

The updated fee structure is intended to help the City manage the costs of providing recreational programs and services while continuing to offer a variety of activities for the community.

Non-residents will pay 20% more than the standard program fee for applicable paid Parks and Recreation programs. The adjustment applies across the department’s paid programs, rather than being limited to a specific facility or activity.

City residents will continue to pay the established resident rate for these programs. The non-resident adjustment is intended to create a consistent pricing approach across the department while accounting for the costs associated with delivering programs and maintaining recreational facilities.

For these fees, a resident is defined as a tax-paying resident living within the City of Palm Coast limits. For 100% disabled veterans who do not pay taxes, as long as the address is located within City of Palm Coast limits, the resident rate will be honored. A non-resident is defined as a person who lives outside the City of Palm Coast limits and is not a City of Palm Coast tax-paying resident.

Participants should review program descriptions and applicable fees when registering for activities.

Southern Recreation Center Fee Changes

In addition to the department-wide non-resident program fee adjustment, updated fees for memberships and services at the Southern Recreation Center will also take effect October 28, 2026. These include punch passes, daily admission, family daily passes, and room rentals.

Updated rates for Annual, Monthly, and Limited Monthly pickleball, tennis, and combination memberships, membership options at the Southern Recreation Center will take effect December 1, 2026.

Southern Recreation Center Announces New Operating Hours

Beginning Sunday, November 1, 2026, the Southern Recreation Center will operate under the following schedule:

  • Monday through Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Weekend reservations outside regular operating hours will be accommodated pending availability and approval.

The City of Palm Coast remains committed to providing recreational opportunities for residents while responsibly managing the costs of operating and maintaining its programs and facilities.
