Fire Station 22

The City of Palm Coast is designing and constructing Fire Station 22, a new 10,000-square-foot prototype fire station that will strengthen emergency response service in the community. The facility will be built at the northeast corner of Palm Coast Parkway and Colbert Lane, supporting operational needs and improving the station’s ability to house modern fire apparatus.

Fire Station 22
Fire Station 22 is part of Palm Coast’s continued investment in public safety and emergency response. The new station will replace the city’s original Fire Station 22 and provide an updated, modern facility with improved layout and space designed for today’s fire-rescue operations. The project includes site development, stormwater infrastructure, and utility installation, followed by construction of the station’s structural, interior, and operational systems.

January 2026

Substantial work has been completed on the building exterior, including the topping off ceremony/roof completion as well as the installation of the bay doors in front of the facility.

August 2025

Progress continued in August as more of the station began to take shape. Work advanced on the building’s structure, including visible development of the interior areas and the apparatus bays where fire equipment will be stored, marking steady movement into the next phase of construction.

July 2025

Construction advanced throughout July with installation of concrete masonry unit (CMU) walls and completion of the slab-on-grade for the building. Crews began work on the stormwater system along the south driveway, while site grading and site utility installations continued. The building pad was prepared early in the month, and despite minor morning rain delays, overall progress remained steady.

June 2025

Major progress was made in June as crews moved toward completion of the building’s stem wall, including a key concrete pour. The building pad was treated for termite protection and prepared for the main concrete slab pour. Utility work also advanced, with underground utilities for the building now complete and broader site utility installation continuing. The site’s stormwater piping system is nearing completion, and grading work continues as needed.

May 2025

Land clearing was completed in May, and construction crews began preparing the site to establish the footprint of the new Fire Station 22 facility.

April 2025

Site activity began in April with land clearing at the future location of Fire Station 22 at Palm Coast Parkway and Colbert Lane. The new 10,000-square-foot station will replace Palm Coast’s original fire station and provide important upgrades, including adequate space to accommodate modern fire apparatus.
