The City of Palm Coast Animal Control Division provides assistance and education to residents and works to reunite lost pets with their owners. Licensing dogs and cats helps Animal Control Officers identify lost pets and return them to their owners. Animal Control services are governed by local ordinances and Florida Statutes.

Palm Coast Animal Control works with local nonprofit animal organizations that may be able to provide additional services, including animal rescue, adoption, community cat assistance and trap-neuter-return (TNR), foster care, and service-dog training.

Services, eligibility, and availability vary by organization. Residents looking for additional assistance can find a list of local animal organizations and their contact information on the City’s Animal Control webpage. Residents are encouraged to contact organizations directly to learn more about the services they provide and whether they can assist with a particular situation.

The City partners with the Flagler Humane Society, located at 1 Shelter Drive in Palm Coast. Residents wishing to surrender an animal should contact the Flagler Humane Society, private organizations, or rescue organizations. To reach the Humane Society, call 386-445-1814 or email Info@FlaglerHumaneSociety.org
