Long Creek Nature Preserve Improvements
May 2025
Work has reached substantial completion at Long Creek Nature Preserve, with several new features now in place. Improvements include new trails, a boardwalk walking path, and seating areas positioned to take advantage of the preserve’s scenic views.

January 2025
Significant progress continued in January with construction of several new visitor features, including boardwalks, dock overlooks along the water, gazebos with picnic tables, and expanded shell walking paths. When complete, the enhanced trail network will span much of the preserve’s 9 acres, helping create a “living classroom” feel for visitors exploring the waterfront environment.

November 2024
Surveying for the project has been completed, and crews began clearing pathways throughout the preserve. These cleared routes will be used to establish the new walkways and expanded trail connections. At this stage, the project remained scheduled for completion in Q1 2025.
