As part of the City of Palm Coast’s Master Street Lighting Program, we are committed to enhancing public safety and visibility across key roadways through the installation of continuous street lighting. Lighting the Way to Safety: Palm Coast’s Master Street Lighting Program
At the City of Palm Coast, we’re illuminating our streets to enhance public safety and visibility. Our Master Street Lighting Program is more than just pretty lights—it’s a strategic effort focused on the areas where you need it most. From marking busy intersections and bus stops to safeguarding your daily commute and evening strolls, we're committed to enhancing life after dusk.
Highlights of the program:
- Intersection and entrance lighting: Designed to help motorists recognize key points on the road with ease—especially at night—using targeted General 75-Watt street lights.
- Special lighting upgrades: Illuminating high-traffic crossroads, bus and school bus stops, and pedestrian crossings where visibility is critical.
- Safety-driven rollout: Prioritizing locations with higher traffic volume, safety need, and existing infrastructure (such as poles and electrical access). Plus, our investment strategy ensures cost-efficiency and budget responsibility.
Looking to the future, we’re steadily implementing our continuous street lighting plan—already adding dozens of new LED lights and counting. Stay tuned for brighter, safer travels ahead!
