City Manager Mike McGlothlin

Mike McGlothlin began serving as the City Manager for the City of Palm Coast on December 17, 2025, following a unanimous appointment by the Palm Coast City Council after a highly competitive national recruitment process.

Mr. McGlothlin brings nearly 40 years of public service experience, with a distinguished career in municipal administration and law enforcement. He most recently served as Town Administrator for Redington Shores, Florida, and previously held positions as City Administrator and Police Chief in Columbia City, Oregon. 

A service-driven municipal executive, Mr. McGlothlin is recognized for his collaborative and approachable leadership style, as well as his commitment to accountability, integrity, and ethical governance. His areas of expertise include municipal operations, strategic planning, budget administration, emergency management, community relations, and cross-functional team leadership. He also brings basic Spanish-language skills that support engagement with diverse communities.

Mr. McGlothlin served in the U.S. Army from 1987 to 1994 and in law enforcement from 1994 until his retirement in 2018, during which time he completed more than 3,600 hours of professional development training. He holds a Master of Business Administration, with an additional concentration in Public Administration, from Columbia Southern University.

He is married to his wife, Jessica, and has three children—two sons and a daughter—and three grandchildren, with another on the way. Outside of work, Mr. McGlothlin enjoys outdoor activities, including fishing, boating, golfing, as well as mixed martial arts.
