The City is preparing to widen Old Kings Road to four lanes between Kings Way and Frontier Drive, with construction expected to begin in summer 2026. This nearly $30 million project will add new traffic signals, dedicated turn lanes, and stormwater improvements to support long-term growth. Funded in large part through $18.38 million in state appropriations, with the remainder covered by local transportation funds, the project will increase capacity, reduce congestion, and provide an alternate north-south route during I-95 closures or emergencies.
