Supporting Local Housing Initiatives
The City of Palm Coast aligns these statutory requirements with local housing efforts, including programs funded through:
- Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
- State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP)
- Other affordable housing and resiliency initiatives
By leveraging public land responsibly, the City advances its commitment to expanding safe, decent, and affordable housing opportunities while strengthening neighborhood stability.

Live Local Act
The Live Local Act is a statewide housing initiative designed to increase the supply of affordable and attainable housing for Florida residents. The law provides recurring funding and regulatory incentives to support housing for very low-, low-, and moderate-income households.
The Act strengthens Florida’s housing strategy by:
- Expanding funding for affordable housing programs
- Supporting multifamily residential development
- Promoting homeownership opportunities
- Encouraging innovative housing solutions across diverse markets
Implementation is supported by the Florida Housing Finance Corporation, which administers programs and funding at the state level.
